About the Event

Children who are deaf or hard of hearing are at greater risk for delayed motor skills, blurred vision, and falls. They may be more likely to feel dizzy, feel spinning sensation, or may even avoid certain activities. Vestibular system loss (inner ear balance loss) may cause these symptoms. Megan Cherry, Au.D., CCC-A and Dr. Patricia L. Purcell, MD, MPH from the Michigan Pediatric Vestibular Clinic experts will discuss symptoms, testing, and physical therapy. They will share their medical perspectives on diagnosis and treatment in an interactive format.

Submit questions prior to this session to Karen@mihandsandvoices.org. This session will be recorded and can be viewed on Michigan Hands & Voices Youtube channel at a later date. Michigan Hands & Voices members will receive notification when it is available (See "Membership" on website. Scholarships are available.)
